Francisco Pardal (Pombal Jovem/More Bike Park) and Margarida Bandeira are the new commanders of the Dowhill Cup of Portugal (DHI) Vodafone, thanks to the triumphs they achieved today, in Góis, in the fifth stage scoring for the trophy.

The elite national champion accelerated at high speed, completing the course in an unbeatable record of 3m17,679s. The Spanish Antonio Ferreiro (Lanzalia Bike Club) was second and Emanuel Pombo (Liberty Seguros/Specialized/Ciclomadeira) occupied the lowest place on the podium.

Sparrow's victory allowed him to crowed at the top of the Cup overall, as the previous leader, José Borges (ASC/Bike Zone), did not go beyond fifth place.

In the women's sector, Margarida Bandeira (LCM Team Bandeira) was sent, who completed the descent in 4m36,721s. Dina Amaral (MCF/Xdream/Municipality of S. Brás) and Constança Bandeira (LCM Team Bandeira) followed. First place in Góis lifted Margarida to the top of the overall ranking of the Vodafone Portugal Cup.
