High-speed photography demonstration sessions will take place on July 6th and 7th (Friday afternoon and Saturday morning) at Galeria Arco, in the Historic Center of Faro.
The initiative aims to publicize the possibilities that are currently open to high-speed photography, an area of studio photography that has been inaccessible for decades to amateurs and even to most professionals, essentially for two reasons.
The first: the high costs of special equipment, time and even the photographic material itself, since the nature of this type of photo involved a process of trial and error that, for beginners, can be extremely costly.
The second reason is that the art necessary for a successful performance was secret knowledge, held by a professional elite that did not intend to share it even with colleagues, let alone with amateurs.
In recent years, two major transformations have made this scenario much more favorable to the photographer. The industry started to offer cheaper, more accurate, automatic and simpler operation equipment. In addition, a new educational market has opened up thanks to the internet: blog posts have made various photographic techniques accessible and popular.
With regard to the applicability of these techniques in the photographic industry, they have long since left the field of experimentalism to become part of the source of tools of renowned photographers in various fields such as advertising photography, sports photography, among others.
The Amberpixel company seeks to place itself at the forefront when it comes to the development of equipment and techniques for this area of photography.
Therefore, all photographers are invited to attend one of the demonstration sessions promoted by the represented Niobo, which will take place on Friday, July 6th, at 18:30 pm, and on Saturday, July 7th, at 10:30 am.
In each session, the operation of the equipment will be demonstrated and specific topics of high-speed photography, its applicability and future evolution will be focused.
Admission is free.
This demonstration is part of a new cycle of presentations that the ALFA Free Association of Algarve Photographers and prestigious brands and photography partners will soon announce.
