Célia Brito was re-elected as president of the PS/Castro Marim Political Commission, in the party's internal elections that took place yesterday, Friday. The current president of the Castro Marim Parish Council defeated Tiago Néné at the ballot boxes.
Elections for the municipal bodies of the PS have been taking place since yesterday throughout the country and will have their conclusion today. In the Algarve, Friday is marked by the results of the two municipalities that had more than one list, Portimão, where Luís Carito won Castelão Rodrigues and that of Castro Marim.
The victories of Ricardo Clemente, in Albufeira, José Galrito, in Alcoutim, José Gonçalves, in Aljezur, Luís Graça in Faro and by Jorge Botelho, in Tavira. In all these municipalities, unique lists were presented.
Today, it will be the turn of activists from eight other councils to vote (see list). The main points of interest, as they have more than one competing list, are the disputes that will take place in Lagoa and Olhão.
