The Colors, Sounds and Flavors of the World Fair, which marks the end of the school year, will take place on June 15 at Escola EB 2,3 Dr. Garcia Domingues, in Silves, and will involve all teaching cycles from from pre-school to the 3rd cycle of Basic Education.
Similar to the Feira dos Saberes e Fazeres d'Antigamente, which had hundreds of visits and was a success last year, this time it is intended to show the projects, researches and works that the students carried out during the school year about the unifying theme of the educational project “Multiculturality for a School of Success”, thus opening the School to the community.
The program includes art and photography exhibitions, cultural exhibitions of the various countries from which the Group's students come, parades, gastronomic and historical exhibitions of countries from all over the world, Scientists, Mathematicians and Informatics relevant in the world (Science Day ), peddy-paper on multiculturalism, student performances with music from various countries and from various periods, dances representing various cultures, cultural lectures, musical performance by a guest group (music from Portuguese-speaking countries) and a group of dance, stall of Portuguese flavors and “Estaminé of eats and drinks” with food from various regions.
According to the organizers, a group of guardians will participate in the promotion of the Fair.
The Fair will open its doors to the community on June 15th from 17 pm, with the solemn opening ceremony scheduled for 00 pm with the first surprise performance. The fair closes at midnight.
