Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, in Albufeira, will present the exhibition “Mãos de Fátima” by artist Rosa Baraúna, on June 2nd.

Many people tend to have a lucky charm to ensure success and protect them from illness, giving them virtues and powers to ward off evil spirits and misfortunes. The author, Rosa Baraúna, is a native of Bahia, Brazil, has a degree in Fine Arts and a specialist in Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art.

In 1987, he chose Albufeira to live and developed several artistic works here, namely in the area of exhibition, photography and artistic restoration.

Currently, his project is aimed at capturing collective memories, based on material and immaterial historical heritage.

The exhibition can be visited until June 30, at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 19:15 pm and on Mondays and Saturdays from 11:30 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 19:15 pm. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
