Manuel José, the Algarve coach with the biggest and best resume, will be honored at the 4th Algarve Football Party, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, at 19:30 pm, at the Casino de Monte Gordo.
According to the Algarve Football Association, which promotes the party, Manuel José “will see his path recognized in the land where he was born and where he kicked the ball for the first time”.
The Football Association will also invest in the condition of honorary members seven former directors, as voted in the General Assembly, as proposed by the Board.
The party also includes the usual awards for Manager of the Year, Coach of the Year (soccer and futsal), Player of the Year (soccer, men's futsal and women's futsal), Referee of the Year (soccer and futsal), Player Youth of the Year and the Youth of the Year Team.
As has been happening in previous editions, the three most voted figures will be present at the main awards, and the winner will be known on the night of the 3rd of June.
The Football Festival is promoted by the AFA in collaboration with the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António and Casinos Solverde.
