Samuel Caldeira finished the 2nd stage of the Volta ao Alentejo this Friday in 4th position, 10 seconds behind the winner and new yellow jersey, Russian Alexey Kunshin (Lokosphinx).

In the individual overall, just two seconds separate the athlete from the Algarve Carmim/Prio/Tavira team from the new leader. In the points table, Caldeira is the leader and today he took the podium to wear the green jersey.

The best cyclist in Louletano/Dunas Douradas was once again Argentine Jorge Montenegro, who this Friday finished the stage in 16th position.

In the General classification, Montenegro is in 2nd place, followed by Samuel Caldeira, in 3rd.

The second stretch of Volta ao Alentejo took place today between Portel and Santiago do Cacém, over 191.3 kilometers.

On this second day of competition, the team from Tavira, Carmim/Prio, led the peloton in various stages of the race.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the third draw starts from Odemira and ends in Ourique, with 168.6 kilometers separating the two cities.

The day does not promise great difficulties, as there is no mountain, but the flying goals will encourage the movements in the peloton.
