This Sunday, the village of Vaqueiros received hundreds of visitors at the Feira do Pão Quente e Queijo Fresco. Held for 14 years, the event has grown and is already one of the largest in the municipality of Alcoutim.
Sellers guarantee that bread was the product with the most output this year among visitors, later joining other delicacies such as fresh cheese, traditional sweets and sausages.
The musical entertainment, with the “Duo Compact 2” and the Folklore Ranch of the Parish Council of Martim Longo, animated the event during the afternoon, filling the center of the village.
During the morning, the regional walking march brought around 500 people to Vaqueiros. “Sport combined with the organization of this type of events is a great way to attract visitors”, guarantees the mayor of Alcoutim Francisco Amaral, who sees these fairs as great stimulators of the economy of rural areas and reveals that he will continue to support the Board of Parish in the holding of the event.
