Cecília Honório, deputy of the Left Block elected by the Algarve, has already confirmed her participation in the public debate on the consequences of the 2012 state budget on education.

The debate will take place on December 17, at 21 pm, at the Escola Superior de Saúde, in Faro, and will be moderated by journalist Neto Gomes.

This is an initiative promoted by the Union of Teachers of the South Zone (SPZS), which will have the participation, in addition to the deputy of the Bloc, of the other deputies elected in the Assembly of the Republic by the circle of Faro.

The Left Bloc considers that «the worsening of the situation of all school workers, including teachers, is the worst scenario foreseen in relation to the state budget approved for the year 2012. The penalizing measures integrated in this State Budget and the policies followed for the education sector over the last few years, which has led to a change in the nature of teaching work, namely with regard to working hours and conditions, school management, budget allocation and the unknown employment/unemployment in the teaching profession will be the main topics of conversation».
