The Municipality of Tavira organizes, on December 19, in the municipal cafeteria, between 12 pm and 16 pm, a Christmas lunch for 200 underprivileged people in the municipality.
In a time of solidarity, the municipality promotes this initiative with the aim of helping those who, throughout the year, face financial difficulties.
Through the spirit of mutual help, characteristic of this square, the city provides the well-being of two hundred residents.
This initiative has the collaboration of the Tavira Nucleus of the Portuguese Red Cross, the Social and Parish Center of Santa Maria, the Irene Rolo Foundation, the Local Volunteer Bank, the Conference of the Blessed Virgin S. Vicente de Paulo, CLDS Tavira Alcatruz, as well as the Parish Councils of Santa Maria and Santiago.
