The director of Jornal do Algarve died this Saturday

The secretariat of the Left Block of Algarve issued a note of regret for the death of Fernando Reis, director of Jornal do Algarve and a reference in journalism in the region for almost four decades».

The Algarvian blockists react in this way to the death of Fernando Reis, who died yesterday, Saturday, the 4th, at the Hospital of Faro.

Fernando de Sant'Águeda Gutierres Reis, whose funeral is scheduled for tomorrow, mondayra, was born in Vila Real de Santo António and graduated in History, having been a secondary school teacher for some years, in schools in his homeland and in Loulé.

In 1983, he founded Viprensa, a company that became the owner of Jornal do Algarve, having been its director since then, although at first alternating with José Lança.
