The funeral of Fernando Reis, director of Jornal do Algarve for decades and one of the references of the Algarve regional media, will take place tomorrow, Monday, December 6th, at 16 pm, in the cemetery of Vila Real de Santo António.
Fernando Reis died yesterday, aged 66, at the Hospital of Faro, where he was hospitalized for several weeks.
Fernando de Sant'Águeda Gutierres Reis, born in Vila Real de Santo António, had a degree in History, having been a secondary school teacher for some years in schools in his homeland and in Loulé.
In 1983, he founded Viprensa, a company that became the owner of Jornal do Algarve, having been its director since then, although at first alternating with José Lança.
