The procession in honor of Nossa Senhora da Luz returns to the streets of Lagoa in its traditional version, on foot. After not having taken place in 2020 because of the pandemic, this year, for the same reason, the procession will travel around the city, but only by car. It will be tomorrow, September 8th (17:00), a municipal holiday in Lagos.
In the afternoon, this Tuesday, the 7th, at 17 pm, the auditorium of the Centro Cultural Convento de S. José receive the book presentation “Lagoa, Local Power and Municipalism: 245 years of creation of the municipality of Lagoa (1773-2018)”. The event is complemented by the lecture given by António Ventura, entitled «Sources for the history of Freemasonry in the Algarve».
At the same time, but traveling through the streets of Ferragudo, Parchal, Bela Vista, Mexilhoeira and Estômbar, the first performance of local artist Badoxa takes place, on the stage mounted on the panoramic bus. Tomorrow, the 8th, also at 18 pm, it will be the turn of Porches, Senhora da Rocha, Carvoeiro and Lagoa.
On the 9th and 10th, at 21 pm, the Fatacil venue will receive two more presentations by the Portuguese magazine «Marafada Quarantine», taken to the stage by the always cheerful troupe of Good Hope.
