“Marafada Quarantena” goes out into the street with sessions in Estômbar and Lagoa

Tickets cost five euros and are already on sale

The theatrical comedy “Marafada Quarentena” will be presented in Estômbar with two sessions on the 2nd and 3rd of September, at the Fair and Exhibition Center (Recinto das Tasquinhas), and another two, on the 9th and 10th, at Fatacil, in Lagoa , part of the Cultural Festival “A Cultura Sai à Rua”.

This comedy show for the whole family has all sessions scheduled to start at 21 pm and tickets cost five euros, and are available at ticket office online. Seats will be limited and compliance with the rules in force issued by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) must be observed.

With original texts and lyrics by Carlos Pacheco, “Marafada Quarantine” constitutes “a good example of how local artists do not get discouraged and raise their arms to face the obstacles caused in recent times by the Covid-19 pandemic”, stresses the Lagoa municipality in a note sent to the newsrooms.

«The comedy follows the adventures of a family as hilarious as it is dysfunctional, during the period of confinement, and a generous dose of laughter is guaranteed right away, because “laughing is the best medicine”».

When a state of emergency is decreed, “panic sets in inside the small apartment of the Sampaio family”, which is on the verge of divorce.

“Everything starts to go wrong the moment Anatolio Sampaio, banker and head of the family, realizes that, thanks to Covid–19, all his plans are going down the drain. Now, and for an indefinite period, he will have to share his apartment with his family and… some unwanted ones», concludes Câmara de Lagoa.
