Contemporary circus/physical theater show “Uns Amb Altres”

After Lagos, Ventania – Barlavento Performing Arts Festival will pass through the municipality of Lagoa, on the 11th and 12th of June, with a contemporary circus show, a music concert and a talk-debate about art, environment and sustainability .

The song will kick off Ventania's passage through Lagoa, on June 11, at 19 pm, at the Carlos do Carmo Municipal Auditorium, with the show “Androidinópolis – A capital of the new order”, one of the festival's commissions for the edition of 00.

This new work by composer and conductor Jorge Salgueiro maintains the festival's motto, centered on environmental concerns projected in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, but anticipates a dystopian future as a warning to a reality not too distant.

The show will have the participation of the 7th year groups of Conjunto Classes (professor Pedro Coutinho) and Atelier das Expressões (Sandra Martins and Francisca Pinto) from the Grupo de Escolas Escola Secundária Padre António Martins de Oliveira.

After Lagos, the contemporary physical theater/circus “Uns Amb Altres” will also perform in Lagoa this Saturday, June 12, at 17 pm, at Sítio das Fontes.

Created by Pau Portabella, this is an artistic research project on the position of the individual in society, where issues of individual and collective respect and freedom are addressed, without questioning the freedom of others.

Also on Saturday, at 19 pm, the conversation-debate “Arte, Ativismo e Sustentabilidade” will take place, mediated by Daniela Tomaz and Nelda Magalhães (artistic directors of the festival). The event will be broadcast via live streaming No. Facebook of the festival.

After Lagoa, Ventania will head to Portimão in September.

This is a festival promoted by TEL – Associação Teatro Experimental de Lagos, co-financed by the General Directorate of Arts, by the municipalities of Lagos, Lagoa and Portimão and by the Parish Council of S. Gonçalo de Lagos, in a local partnership with the ecosystem of performing arts from the Barlavento Algarvio.
