A public session about the “EcoParque do Algarve” project takes place this Wednesday, September 23, from 21 pm, in the Auditorium of the Agricultural Credit of São Bartolomeu de Messines.
Rosa Palma, mayor of Silves, José Manuel Palma, invited expert, and Carla Benedito, president of the Parish Council of São Bartolomeu de Messines, will provide their clarifications.
This clarification session will focus more specifically on the Solar Drying and Transfers Unit of São Bartolomeu de Messines, which started operating on the 1st of September, at the Escolar site.
«The intention is to make known the functioning and the advantages of this sustainable Unit, highlighting the importance of the unique technology in Portugal, implemented here, which allows keeping the sludge in aerobiosis (reducing the bad smell), and which allows to enhance it as “raw material” and in its use, in agriculture and forests, and the importance of composting to valorize organic waste», says the Chamber of Silves.
