São Bartolomeu de Messines, Alcantarilha, Algoz and São Marcos da Serra can apply for PADSE

Applications are open until June 30th

Applications for the Social and Economic Dynamics Support Program (PADSE) for the building located in the Urban Rehabilitation Areas (ARU) of São Bartolomeu de Messines, Alcantarilha, Algoz and São Marcos da Serra, will run until June 30th, announced the Silves City Council.

PADSE aims to “contribute to improving the functional conditions of buildings located in the Urban Rehabilitation Areas of São Bartolomeu de Messines, Alcantarilha, Algoz and São Marcos da Serra, and, thus, socially and economically revitalize these agglomerations, namely by instilling them new dynamics in terms of commerce, services, crafts or manufacturing activities, and encouraging the action of associations, collectives and non-profit societies».

In this program, the contribution from the Municipality of Silves is set at 20% of the maximum amount of eligible expenditure (the maximum amount of eligible expenditure varies according to the type of reimbursable work defined in regulation).

The municipality of São Paulo also highlights that urban rehabilitation operations located in these ARU can also benefit from “numerous tax benefits, namely the deduction from IRS collection; VAT at 6% on the acquisition of labor materials for rehabilitation works; exemption from the Municipal Urbanization Tax; exemption from IMI; exemption from IMT on the acquisition of properties intended for urban rehabilitation interventions; the exemption from IMT on the first onerous transmission subsequent to the urban rehabilitation intervention and the exemption from the public space occupancy tax».
