The Little Champions League, which brings together teams from levels without official competition of under 7, under 8 and under 9, has been taking place since Saturday until the 1st of May, in Mexilhoeira Grande and Portimão.
«This tournament, which once again pays homage to the Carnation Revolution, aims to promote unique experiences and moments of joy for the little ones», according to Portimão City Council.
The competition, organized by Mexilhoeira Grande Futebol Clube, involves 45 teams from across the Algarve, involving around 700 participants, including athletes, coaches and other elements.
The group stage in the 2016 and 2017 age groups was played on the 20th and 21st, while the 2015 age group will be decided on the 27th and 28th of April, from 9:00 am to 19:00 pm.
The under 7 and under 8 gold finals will take place on April 25th at the Mexilhoeira Grande Municipal Field, while the silver ones will take place at the Major David Neto Football Field, in Portimão. The under 9 final stages will take place on May 1st at the Mexilhoeira Grande Sports Complex.
