Mário Cunha in 24th on the CDU list for the European Parliament

Mário Cunha from the Algarve is 24th on the CDU list to the European Parliament, presented on April 18th. 

Mário Rodrigo de Sousa Cunha is 38 years old, a lawyer and conflict mediator. Resident in São Brás de Alportel, linked to associations, he is part of the social bodies of the Al-Portel Association and is a founding member of the São Brás de Alportel Board Games Group.

At a political level, he is elected in the Municipal Assembly of São Brás de Alportel, member of the Municipal Commission of São Brás de Alportel do CFP and the Directorate of the Regional Organization of the Algarve of CFP.

Furthermore, he is part of the social bodies of the Portuguese Association of Democratic Jurists and is a leader of the Public Services Users Movement.

In a statement, the CDU Algarve states that the presence of Mário Cunha on the list for the Europeans “will be an opportunity to give expression to the problems and aspirations of workers and populations in the Algarve who are faced with the lack of solutions in their daily lives ».

The Algarve's priorities will be to “increase salaries and pensions, combat policies that impose the region's single development model and promote greater diversification of economic activity, improve transport, find solutions to the serious housing crisis, with the denunciation of the consequences of privatizations, with the demand for more public investment and the development of public services, improving the living conditions of those who live, work, study or visit the region».

This Friday, April 26th, João Oliveira, head of the list CDU for Europeans will be in the Algarve.
