João Oliveira, head of the list CDU for the European Parliament elections, will be in the Algarve this Friday, April 26th.
The initiative is part of the campaign CDU for the June 9 elections, this time with the presence of candidates João Oliveira and Mário Cunha in Silves and Lagos.
«The Algarve continues to have a very serious social situation, where the problems of wages, pensions, housing, health and transport are among the most felt by the population and which also require responses at the level of the European Parliament», considers the party.
«We need to have more MEPs defending our country, its workers and populations in the European Union and fewer MEPs defending the European Union and its submission to economic groups in Portugal», he continues, arguing that «so the CDU is in a position, with its electoral reinforcement, to guarantee this defense of wages and rights, public services, our sovereignty and national production».
The program starts at 11 am, at the Silves Municipal Market, and continues at 00 pm to Lagos, where politicians meet with the population in the city center.
The initiative ends with a dinner celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April at Chinicato, in Lagos, at 21 pm.
