Portuguese Enduro Cup: Sauro Agostinho and Ana Leite win in São Brás

The Portuguese Enduro Cup presented by Shimano will have its second scoring event on April 7th, in Vouzela

Sauro Agostinho (Casa do Povo de Abrunheira) and Ana Leite (Axpo Team Vila do Conde) won this Sunday, March 3, the inaugural stage of the Portuguese Enduro Cup presented by Shimano, in São Brás de Alportel.

Sauro Agostinho and Jimmy Silva (AD Galomar/E-Bike Madeira) signed a duel that was measured with alternating victories on the special qualifying routes.

However, Sauro Agostinho was clearly the fastest, finishing 12,676 seconds ahead of Jimmy Silva. Third was José Oliveira (Axpo Team Vila do Conde), at 51,951 seconds.

Ana Leite had a much bigger break in the women's elite. She imposed herself with total authority, leaving second place, Sandra Lopes (BTT Pandilhas a Monte), at 3'48''620. Third, at 7'55''425, was Sara Ferreira (BTT Pandilhas a Monte).

In the youth teams, Joaquim Meneses (Bicisintra/Gás Mucifal) was the best cadet, a category in which, in the women's category, only Ana Rodrigues (Caniço Riders/Barra4) competed. Sebastian Horne (BTT Loulé/Elevis) won in the youth category, while the only starter in the race was his teammate James Sousa.

In the electric assistance bicycles, with a greater and stronger participation in the new season, the best in the elite category was Tiago Ladeira (Miranda Factory Team).

José Borges (BTT Enduro Terras de Bouro) was second, at 5,745 seconds. Third, at a distant 2'10''131, was Martim Cerqueira. Raquel Ribeiro (JR87racing Team/Alfarazes) was the only participant in the female elite category on electric assistance bikes.

Among the veterans who raced on conventional bicycles, master 30 Pedro Ferreira (Casa do Povo de Abrunheira), master 35 Ivo Ferreira (União Desportiva Lorvanense), master 40 Márcio Ferreira (Bicisintra/Gás Mucifal), master 45 Nuno Lopes (ADAR/Ofimoto), master 50 Leonel Bento (Casa do Povo de Abrunheira), master 55 Francisco Batarda (MCF/XDream/Municipality of S. Brás), master 60 Abel Oliveira (BTT Enduro Terras de Bouro ) and female master Hannah Heyse (BTT Loulé/Elevis).
