The 3.1 earthquake (Richter) registered at 18:16 pm this Sunday, February 18th, was felt in the municipalities of Faro, Loulé and Lagoa with maximum intensity III (modified Mercalli scale).

With its epicenter approximately 40 km southwest of Faro, the earthquake “did not cause personal or material damage”, said IPMA based on the information that has been possible to obtain so far.
