Orquestra do Algarve presents the Promenade Concert “O Rei Diverte-se” in Lagoa

On the 17th of March

The Orquestra do Algarve, directed by maestro Henrique Constância, will take the Promenade Concert “O Rei Diverte-se” to the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, on the 17th of March, at 16:30 pm.

The session will be hosted by baritone Rui Baeta, like all those held within the scope of the Algarve orchestra's Promenade Concert cycle.

In this concert «three masters of French opera are summoned», namely J. Massenet, C. Gounoud and L. Délibes, through their pieces “Le Roman d'Arlequin”, “Funeral March for a Marionette” and “Le Roi s' amuse”, respectively.

«Without resorting to lyrical music, and only through instrumental expression, his scores animate the fantasy of puppet stories and the time of kings and knights-errant», according to Orquestra do Algarve.

Tickets for the show cost 6 euros (over 16 years old) and are available now online sale and at the ticket offices of CTT, Fnac, Worten, Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, Convento de S. José Cultural Center and the Lagoa Municipal Council's Single Counter.

Tickets for spectators under 16 must be picked up at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium box office and will be delivered depending on box office availability.
