Book «Mininu de Criasson» by a Guinean writer presented at the Loulé Library

As a scholarship holder at the Institute of Portuguese Cooperation, he took part in the training of Portuguese teachers at high schools in Guinea-Bissau

The Guinean writer João Into Cabi will present his book «Mininu de Criasson» today, the 23rd, at 18pm, at the Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen Municipal Library, in Loulé.

The work will be presented by Maria Fael.

João Into Cabi was born in Gam-Jandim, in the north of Guinea-Bissau, close to the border with Senegal, on February 12, 1967. He completed basic education in Colonato, Biombo Region.

He completed his complementary and secondary education at Liceu 23 de Janeiro, in Bissau. She took the Basic Education teacher course at the Bolama Training School and, later, the Portuguese Secondary School teacher course, at the “Tchico Té” Higher Education School, in Bissau.

He took part in several seminars on plastic expression at the Escola das Artes, in Bissau. He was director of Pirada Primary School and teacher trainer in Camadjaba, Bruntuma and Canquelefa.

Participated in the process of raising public awareness of the first platform for democracy in Guinea-Bissau. In Bissau he worked as a Portuguese teacher at the Liceu 23 de Janeiro and at the Godofredo Vermão de Sousa primary school.

As a scholarship holder at the Institute of Portuguese Cooperation, he took part in the training of Portuguese teachers at high schools in Guinea-Bissau, at the Bissau Cultural Center. He came to Portugal at the end of 2000, as a scholarship holder at the Camões Institute. He studied at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lisbon. He currently lives and works in Paris.
