Chiquinho, a Famalicão player, complained about racist insults from a fan, which led to the game with Farense being interrupted for a few minutes, at the São Luís Stadium, in Faro.

The case happened in the 81st minute, when the Minho winger was preparing to take a corner kick. Immediately, the player left the place and went to the referee, pointing at a fan.

The game was interrupted while Chiquinho was greeted by teammates and opponents.

The São Luís speaker appealed for calm and stressed: “We are for football against racism.”

A supporter will have been identified by the PSP.
