Vila do Bispo City Council allocated financial support of 22.498,91 euros to Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila do Bispo for the acquisition of a 100% electric vehicle intended for home support.
The car, acquired by Santa Casa da Misericórdia in the amount of 47.498,91, was financed with 25 thousand euros from the New Generation Component of equipment and Social Responses of the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR) – Measure – Social Green Mobility, being the remaining amount borne by the municipality of Vila do Bispo.
The vehicle blessing ceremony, celebrated by Father José Chula, and the symbolic delivery of the key, by Mayor Rute Silva, took place yesterday, 24 January, next to the Main Church of Vila do Bispo.
The act was part of the initiative to take office of the Social Bodies of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila do Bispo for the 2024/2027 mandate.
Rute Silva wished the new bodies, led by Armindo Vicente, «success in continuing the work carried out by the previous management», noting that the City Council will continue «to support the House that belongs to everyone».
