Portimonense wins derby against Farense with justice

Farense continues to fail to win in Portimão in I Liga games

Portimonense won the Algarve derby 1-0 against Farense 1-0, in a game from the 17th round of the I Football League, played this Friday, January 12th, in Portimão. 

The black and white team was superior to the lions of Faro and achieved a fair victory.

In the stands, there were thousands of fans of both teams. From early on, Portimonense showed that they were better: in the 6th and 8th minutes, Pedrão and Ronnie began to test the attention of Ricardo Velho, who made two good saves.

Farense's best phase came at the end of the first half. Fabrício, at 38′, forced Nakamura into a good save, but the game ended up tied at halftime.

In the second half, Portimonense were better again and scored in the 58th minute. Fran Delgado was reckless and fouled Alemão inside the area.

Called upon to convert, Carlinhos did not miss the penalty and gave Portimonense the three points.

Farense continues to fail to win in Portimão in I Liga games and maintains the same 21 points. Portimonense, with this victory, reached 18.
