Lagos will once again organize, on January 31st, starting at 20:30 pm, the Sports Gala which will be presented by Cândido Costa and will be attended by João Paulo Correia, Secretary of State for Sports and Youth.
Custódio Moreno, Regional director of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, will also be present at this tribute to clubs and athletes that will take place at the Municipal Pavilion.
The Sports Gala is an opportunity to publicly recognize and value the merit of those who work to achieve victory and success and take the name of Lagos further. In total, more than 300 athletes, clubs, associations and agents associated with sporting activities will be honored and distinguished.
In addition to the trophies for athletes/teams from various sports who were regional and national champions or achieved outstanding results at international level, prestigious awards for best club, best manager, school sport, adapted sport, best team will be awarded to various sports agents. , best coach, best referee/judge, fair play, revelation athlete, best athlete, dedication and career.
During the ceremony, the municipality will also honor, posthumously, a local individual who dedicated part of his life to municipal sport.
