José Mota, coach of Farense said today that his team will be ambitious and try to share Sunday's game with FC Porto, at the São Luís Stadium, in the 19th round of the I Football League.

“We intend to share the game with FC Porto, we also intend to be ambitious. We intend, at home, to do what we have done throughout the championship, to be a team that is always very organized, that always fights for the three points”, said José Mota, at a press conference.

The coach of the Algarve stated that the Porto players “are going through a good moment”, with “good victories and a good level of performance”, and that the change in their game model “has been positive”, noting that the Algarve team must present themselves “at the maximum” of your concentration.

“We have our weapons. FC Porto fights for bigger goals, to be champion, we fight to make a worthy championship. This is a game in our championship, in which we want to have a good performance, and counter the strength and power of this FC Porto”, he highlighted.

Recognizing that FC Porto “is going to be a very demanding team”, José Mota hopes that his team knows how to “take advantage, often, of a moment of some weakness that the opponent has, or may have”, with the help of the public, who usually galvanizes the 'eleven' on the field.

The coach also recalled Farense's campaign against the best teams in the I League to illustrate the attitude, ambition and good behavior that the Algarvians want to repeat “in the fortress” of São Luís, a venue that “was never easy” for Sunday's opponent.

“We have been a capable team with the 'bigs'. Just to mention a detail that I think is extremely important: we beat Sporting de Braga and drew with Benfica, as they said, but we are 7-7 in goals scored and conceded by the so-called 'big ones'. Hence we can already see the difficulties we have faced against these opponents”, maintained José Mota.

Asked whether the pre-election moment at FC Porto could have an impact on the Porto team, the Farense coach stressed that the opposing players want to “be as far away as possible from these issues” and that they will be “focused and aware of the difficulties that will find in Faro".

Farense, ranked seventh, with 24 points, and FC Porto, third, with 41, face each other on Sunday, at 18pm, at the Estádio de São Luís, in Faro, with arbitration by João Pinheiro, from the Braga association.
