Two men, aged 17 and 32, were arrested this Tuesday, January 16, in Faro, in an inspection operation dedicated to drug trafficking.
As part of inspection actions in the vicinity of schools and their accesses, «in order to prevent crime, deter consumption and trafficking», the Guard soldiers detained these two suspects, seized 51 doses of hashish» and prepared five files for drug consumption, says the GNR in a statement.
The detainees were accused and the facts were communicated to the Judicial Courts of Loulé and Silves.
GNR recalls that «the Safe School Program aims to guarantee safety in schools and the surrounding environment, by preventing risky behavior and reducing acts that generate insecurity in schools».
This operation was reinforced by the Intervention Detachment of Faro.
