Vila Galé launches two new wines

Casa de Santa Vitória brand wines are produced on estates with a total of 1.620 hectares that the group owns near Beja

The Vila Galé group has just launched two new wines – Santa Vitória Syrah 2021 and Val Moreira Vinha D' Arte 2018.

«Produced from a plot of 20-year-old vineyard, Santa Vitória Syrah 2021 spent four days in cold maceration, followed by alcoholic fermentation for nine days», says the Vila Galé Group.

It aged in 2nd and 3rd year French oak barrels for 14 months and was bottled on June 7th, belonging to a limited edition of 1.444 bottles, created by winemakers from Santa Vitória, Marta Maia and Bernardo Cabral.

The Casa de Santa Vitória brand wines, started in 2002, are produced on estates with a total of 1.620 hectares that the group owns near Beja and where there are three Vila Galé units – Alentejo Vineyards, Nep Kids and the Collection Monte do Vilar agritourism . And it has the Versatile, Seleção, Reserva, Grande Reserva, Inevitável and even Monte do Vilar ranges.

The Val Moreira Vinha D'Arte 2018 has its origins in the Douro terraces and is the result of a field blend made up of more than 20 grape varieties. According to Val Moreira winemaker Ricardo Gomes, it aged for 18 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, followed by a 36-month aging in bottle. It is also a limited edition, which aims to pay homage to the classic wines of the demarcated Douro region.

In 2018, Val Moreira wines began to be produced, at Quinta do Val Moreira, in Armamar, in the middle of the Douro Wine Region. This brand has the Colheita, Reserva and Altitude ranges and now Vinha d`Arte and also the Port wines Ruby Tawny Reserva, Tawny 10 years old, Tawny 20 years old and an Extra Dry white.

The new wines, like the other references from both brands, can be purchased in the respective online stores in Santa Vitória and Val Moreira and also in any Vila Galé hotel and selected stores.
