The new season of Jazz nas Adegas de Silves will be launched with two concerts by the “Feel Good Band”, scheduled for the 12th and 13th of January, at 21pm and 00pm, respectively, at Real Picadeiro, in Pêra.
This will be the first of eight Jazz concerts, associated with wine tastings and tapas, to take place in different wineries in the municipality of Silves, the last of which is scheduled for May 25th (see calendar below).
On the 12th and 13th, the protagonists are a musical formation that originates from the music school of the Associação Filarmónica de Faro.
The repertoire played by the “Feel Good Band” «transports jazz through African, Latin, funk and classic jazz rhythms. The performances provide moments of joy and relaxation, with the aim of making the audience Feel Good», according to the Chamber of Silves, which promotes the initiative.
The band is formed by Rui Siva (alto saxophone); Paulo Raminhos (alto saxophone); Pedro Sousa (tenor saxophone); João Salero (Tenor Saxophone); Nuno Afonso (Bass); Paulo “Gafits” Franco (Drums) and Carlos “Shaka” Santos (Electric Guitar).
Tickets cost 20 euros, a price that includes, in addition to the concert, a tasting of three wines from the producer, a tasting of three tapas of local products, a voucher to visit the Castle and Municipal Archeology Museum and the gift of a bottle of wine.
Tickets are on sale on the platform and can be bought online or at FNAC, Worten, El Corte Inglés, CTT Correios, Youth Hostels, Serveasy Kiosks.
The event is aimed at people over 18 years of age and is in partnership with the Agrupamento de Escolas Silves Sul and Associação Barmen Algarve.
