A 53-year-old foreign man, who was transporting drugs in a commercial vehicle and was attacked, in the municipality of Faro, ended up being arrested for trafficking after have a medical discharge, andthis Wednesday, December 20th.
According to the Judiciary Police (PJ), the police action «arose from a communication that moments before, there had been an attempt to approach the suspect's vehicle by two other unidentified vehicles, whose occupants fired firearms».
There are suspicions, according to authorities, that a “large quantity” of drugs has been stolen.
The man ended up being “violently attacked by the other actors”, received hospital treatment and “was arrested outside of the act, after being medically discharged”.
