Paulinho's heel defeated Portimonense against Sporting

Algarvians are in 15th position, three points above the water line

Portimonense lost to Sporting 1-2, in the 15th round of the I Football League, played this Saturday, December 30th, in Portimão.

With some changes in the 11, such as the addition of Paulinho and Luís Neto, Sporting started better than the Algarve.

In the first 10 minutes, Portimonense didn't leave midfield, but the truth is that, in step with Paulo Sérgio's team, they also showed themselves in the game.

At 20′, Guga could have done better, but his shot, from the edge of the area, went over the top.

In the second half, Sporting once again had more of the ball in the opening minutes, but this time, creating dangerous opportunities. Morita and Paulinho set the tone for Gyokeres' goal, in the 59th minute. Pote provided the assist for the Swede who appeared unmarked and scored the goal.

Portimonense did not give up and managed to equalize, in the 69th minute, with a header from Relvas after a free kick taken by Carlinhos.

The Algarve team could even have taken the lead, but Hélio wasted a great opportunity in the 79th minute.

It would be Sporting who scored, in the 80th minute, through Paulinho who, with a backheel, gave the three points to the lions who, even so, did not get rid of the scare.

Hélio, at 85, appeared alone again, but allowed Adán to save.

With this defeat, Portimonense has the same 15 points and is in 15th place.
