Wine Tourism Forum brings together wine producers and enthusiasts in Lagoa

On the 9rd and 10th of November

Sector experts, wine producers, enthusiasts, sommeliers and regional and national entities linked to wine tourism will participate in the Lagoa Wine Tourism Forum, which will take place on the 9th and 10th of November, at the Hotel Bricia Du Mar, in Lagoa.

Over the two days of the meeting, which will be under the theme “Innovation & Sustainability Challenges”, topics such as the impact of this tourism segment as a destination enhancer, examples of success stories and perspectives and new market trends will be covered.

Rita Soares, from Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, Sara Silva, president of the Algarve Wine Commission, Luís Encarnação, president of Lagoa City Council, and André Gomes, president of Algarve Tourism, are some of the guest speakers.

The Lagoa Wine Tourism Forum takes place a few months after the presentation of Algarve Wine Tourism, «a route that adapts and reformulates the Algarve Wine Route, to give greater impetus and framework to one of the sectors with the greatest growth and potential in tourism in the Algarve» , according to the Lagoa Chamber.

 

Program:

November 9

9:30 am: Opening session with the presence of Luís Encarnação, President of Lagoa City Council, André Gomes, President of Algarve Tourism, and Sara Silva, President of the Algarve Wine Commission.

10:00 am: Lecture with Keynote speaker, Rita Soares, from Herdade da Malhadinha Nova.

10:30 am: Panel 1 – “Rooted sustainability” with Filipe Caldas de Vasconcelos (Morgado do Quintão) and Joana Fernandes (Quinta do Canhoto).

11:45 am: Panel 2 – “Innovate in sharing wine tourism” with Madalena Vidigal (Entre Vinhas) and André Villa de Brito (Sommelier & Tour Guide).

November 10

9:30 am: Panel 3 – “Savoring Wine Tourism” with António Lopes (Sommelier), Ricardo Rodrigues (Sommelier Vila Vita Parc) and Sara Peñas Lledo (La Vida Ibérica).

10:45 am: Presentation of “Reference Projects in Wine Tourism” with Sandra Dias (Quinta da Pacheca) and Alexandra Maçanita (Fita Preta).

11:30 am: Presentation – “Algarve Wine Tourism, the Algarve wine route” with Sara Silva, President of the Algarve Wine Commission.

17:15 pm: Closing session with Mário Guerreiro, Councilor for Tourism at Lagoa City Council.
