This year, the Concordis Guitar Quartet will be the guest of GAMP-Grupo de Amigos do Museu de Portimão to, through a Solidarity Concert called “Tempo de Guitarras”, celebrate its 9th anniversary, with entry being free, subject to room capacity .

This is an offer from GAMP to all citizens, on the occasion of its 9th anniversary, taking place at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, Saturday, November 25th, at 21 pm.

As in its previous Solidarity Concerts, GAMP thanks and requests that everyone bring food or personal hygiene items, which will be donated to a Social Solidarity Institution in the Municipality of Portimão.

GAMP members should preferably pick up their tickets on the 22nd and 23rd of November at the TEMPO ticket office, between 13pm and 00pm.

From the 24th until 20:30 on the 25th, tickets can also be collected by the general public.

The show will last approximately 60 minutes, without intermission, and tickets must be picked up in advance, subject to room capacity.

The Concordis Guitar Quartet, created in 2005, has as one of its main artistic purposes the dissemination of Portuguese music and, essentially, works by Portuguese composers.

It has, in its current constitution, Eudoro Grade, Manuel Toucinho, Jorge Pires and Pedro Rufino, emerging from this complicity between these musicians, their diverse personalities and influences, the timbral and sonorous beauty that the four guitars provide together.

The musical orientation of this quartet is positioned to highlight Portuguese works, some adapted exclusively for this group. An example of this is the work of composer Pedro Louzeiro on several pieces by Carlos Paredes and Zeca Afonso, which are included on his first CD.

In addition to this aspect, the Concordis Quartet also covers the vast general repertoire for this group, playing works by the most recognized authors.

The Concordis Guitar Quartet has maintained an intense concert activity in Portugal and abroad, performing at numerous events in France, Italy, Spain, London, China, Serbia, Lithuania and Slovenia.

In its shows and also in this Solidarity Concert, it will also value and promote the rich heritage of Portuguese music, essential to continue caring not only for national artistic creation, but also for its dissemination across borders.
