The city of Portimão will host the awarding of recognition awards to the municipalities of Alentejo and Algarve with the best performance in the areas of Sports and Social Action, which will take place at the café-concert of TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, on the 13th, from from 15 p.m.
The presidents of the ceremony will be representatives of the local authorities distinguished by the online platform Cidade Social, responsible for the Município Amigo do Desporto and Autarquia Solidária programs, which aim to share good practices and training in relation to the model of public intervention in the areas of sport and of social action.
«The awards recognize the work carried out by Portuguese municipalities to continuously improve the quality of life of all citizens residing in their respective municipalities, through the implementation of social intervention strategies that contribute to the development of the community», explains the Municipality of Portimão in note.
