António Pina, president of the Local Action Group (GAL) Pesca do Sotavento, met this Thursday, November 2, with some associations from the fishing and aquaculture sectors.
At this meeting, «some issues linked to the sector and the Ria Formosa were discussed, with a special focus on the issue of dredging, a subject of extreme relevance in the social and economic context that the Ria represents», says the Chamber of Olhão.
It was decided that the GAL will join forces with the competent authorities, with a view to resolving the problem as quickly as possible.
The Culatra Island Residents Association, Cooperativa Formosa, VIVMAR and OlhãoPesca were present at this meeting.
