“Enhancing the involvement and training of young people to build the future of the region” is the objective of the Algarve Regional Youth Meeting (EJA), which is back after an eight-year hiatus and will take place between the 17th and 19th of November, at the regional delegation of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ), in Faro.

This will be the third edition of this event, an initiative of the Municipality of Faro which has the participation of local authorities in the region and the partnership of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), «which has become a milestone in promoting the active participation of young people in the Algarve region», according to the Faro municipality.

«EJA stands out for being a space for meeting, debating and sharing ideas, in which young people are invited to play an active role in building the future of the Algarve region. More than an event, EJA is a platform that encourages intermunicipal collaboration and aims to enhance the involvement of young people, enabling them to be agents of positive change in the region, since the active participation of youth is fundamental to shaping a society better", adds the Chamber of Faro.

The event will offer various activities, including workshops, training and cultural and recreational moments for young people, providing a unique platform for intergenerational dialogue and the development of innovative solutions to the challenges that young people face. The program also includes a seminar for municipal youth technicians.
