A São Brás de Alportel Philharmonic Band will be, between this Thursday, November 30th, and Sunday, December 3rd, in Roche la Molière, in France, for a musical and cultural exchange.
The group is made up of young musicians, aged between 14 and 18, members of the board of the Associação Cultural e Recreativa Escola de Música Sambrazense and the musical director of the Philharmonic Band.
The visit to Roche la Molière will be dedicated to participating in an international musical, pedagogical and cultural exchange with the Center Musical Municipal of the French town, carried out under the twinning of the French city with the Algarve municipality of São Brás de Alportel.
The musical program of this exchange includes participation in rehearsals and the presentation of musicians from the Center Musical Municipal de Roche la Molière, under the direction of maestro Hervé Freycenon, in two concerts dedicated to Santa Bárbara, at the Igreja Matriz de Roche, Friday, December 1st, at 20pm local time and Saturday, and December 00nd, at 2pm local time.
In addition to the musical and pedagogical program, the group will visit emblematic places in the French region and learn a little about its social and cultural experience.
This activity is organized by the Associação Cultural e Recreativa Escola de Música Sambrazense and has support from the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel and Center Musical Municipal de Roche la Molière.
