The new direction of the Algarve Swimming Association (Analgarve) took office on October 25th, with a one-year mandate, in order to complete the Olympic cycle.
The new direction is made up of Mariana Santos, as president, José Morales, as 1st vice-president, Luciana Maffei, as 2nd vice-president, Sandro Barrosão, as 3rd vice-president, Susana Vale, as 4th .ª vice-president, and Orlando Duarte and Helia Silvestre, as substitutes.
Mariana Santos, the new president of Analgarve, stated that the new management is “full of desire to work to elevate Algarve swimming to its maximum exponent”.
“Our vision is to streamline the technical part of the tests, ensuring efficiency and speed in the approval and delivery of results”, said Mariana Santos.
“We also want to develop and promote adapted swimming at a regional level, which has been growing solidly. And we would like to contribute to improving internal communication between all Analgarve stakeholders, so that together we can be a solid and motivated team, to continue developing athletes who represent the region, promoting sport as a healthy lifestyle, from from the youngest to the most masters, with its important deep-rooted social and cultural component, making us proud to represent the Algarve”.
