World Migratory Bird Day marked in the Sapal de Castro Marim and VRSA Natural Reserve

World Migratory Bird Day was created in 2006

World Migratory Bird Day will be celebrated this Sunday, October 22nd, with a field trip, lectures and the presentation of a book, in the Sapal de Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António Natural Reserve. 

The field trip will be guided by a professional in the field of ornithological tourism, who will talk about some of the main reasons for interest in this protected area in terms of its birdlife, as well as bird watching tourism.

Those interested in the visit must confirm their participation by October 18th, using the contact details available.

In addition to guided tours, there will be lectures and the presentation of the photographic book “A Natureza no Mundo”. This program is free of any cost and will take place from 8:30 am to 17:00 pm, approximately.

World Migratory Bird Day was created in 2006, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of conserving species and their habitats.
