Albufeira once again hosts the Algarve Archives Meeting

The meeting will be broadcast on RAalg's YouTube channel, on the 23rd of October, starting at 9:00 am

The Municipality of Albufeira, in partnership with the Algarve Archives Network, is once again organizing the Algarve Archives Meeting, which will be broadcast on RAalg's YouTube channel, on the 23rd of October, starting at 9am.  

José Carlos Rolo, president of Albufeira City Council, highlights that the event, which is now in its 8th edition, aims to be a space for debate and exchange of experiences around the theme “Archives in the Digital Era”.

The organization believes «this is a current topic of interest given the challenges facing management
of information in current organizations».

The program includes three panels: “Access and Transparency in Public Administration”; “Organizations and information
in security architecture”; “The new paths of document evaluation” and a Round table under the motto “Digital information: What challenges and guarantees”.

The Meeting will feature representatives from the Portuguese Association of DPO´s (Data Protection Professionals,
including Data Protection Officers), the Commission for Access to Administrative Documents, the Judiciary Police, Universities and Local Authorities.

The Working Group for the Algarve Archives Meeting is formed by António Monteiro, from ARS Algarve, Laurinda Paz, from the Municipality of Portimão, and Sónia Negrão, from the Municipality of Albufeira.
