This summer, the “Summer Holiday Program” welcomed 136 children who, over the course of nine weeks, had the opportunity to “participate in various recreational and educational activities”.
In addition to the regular activities integrated into the school space, this program promoted by the “Ensinar a Sorrir” association allowed participating children to attend the Discovered Municipal Swimming Pools, participate in 14 different thematic workshops in the most diverse areas, including: martial arts, yoga, tennis , cooking, traditional games, peddypaper, relaxation sessions, manual work, among others.
The program included 22 visits to places in the municipality, such as the Municipal Market, the Fire Station, exhibitions in the municipality's galleries, cinema sessions at the Cineteatro, Quinta do Peral, the Center for Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation of the South, the São Romão Sweets Factory, among many other visits and adventures.
This holiday program is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, the Associação Ensinar a Sorrir, the José Belchior Viegas School Group and the Association of Parents and Guardians of the School Group.
