Orquestra Algarve Camerata gives open-air concert in Carvoeiro

on the 13th of September

The Algarve Camerata orchestra will give a concert at the amphitheater of Forte de Nossa Sra. da Encarnação, in Praia do Carvoeiro, in Lagoa, on the 13th of September, at 21 pm.

This show, which has free admission, will be, according to the Câmara de Lagoa, «one of the last open-air concerts of this summer season».

On the 13th, in Praia do Carvoeiro, the Algarve Camerata orchestra will be conducted by maestro João Rocha.

Founded in 2016, Algarve Camerata is made up of professional musicians from the Algarve, or residents of the Algarve.

It is based around a dozen musicians, usually inviting a soloist to each of its concerts.

Since its debut, it has performed in the main municipalities of the Algarve, with internationally renowned soloists and conductors, such as Richard Galliano, Adrien Rodriguez, Gonçalo Pescada, Handel Cocílio, João Cunha, among others, performing a series of emblematic works, such as the opera Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, Vivaldi's Glória, Piazzolla's Four Seasons and Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
