Morgado do Quintão opens doors to celebrate Algarve wine

Tickets cost 40 euros per person, which drops to 20 for residents of Lagoa

A party that celebrates Algarve wine and where there will also be gastronomy, folklore and lots of music. The “Open House – Harvest Party” will take place on October 7th, starting at 18pm, at Morgado do Quintão.

With the Monchique mountains as a backdrop, Morgado do Quintão will welcome all curious people and wine lovers.

«By creating this event, Morgado do Quintão intends to mark the end of another harvest and celebrate, with open doors and with lots of music, the roots of the region's winemaking tradition, still unknown to many», says the organization.

«This Open House is another moment that reflects our commitment to the region and to the richness that the Algarve's wine heritage contains», says Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos, owner.

Visitors will be able to take part in wine tastings and learn more about the indigenous Negra Mole grape variety, and get to know in depth one of the star wines of this celebration, enjoy the pig on a skewer from 'Feito no Zambujal' and watch the performance of the Rancho Folclórica de Estômbar and Parchal.

Joining the party is the musician Janeiro, who represents a new generation of Portuguese artists, and who will perform at the beginning of the evening around the Oliveira Milenar – iconic symbol of Morgado do Quintão, and where names such as Carminho, Bruno Pernadas and Mário Laginha.

The night continues with several surprises and concerts by DJ Rykardo and Sandra Baldé.

Tickets cost 40 euros per person, which drops to 20 for residents of Lagoa.

«We seek to connect with our Algarve origins and traditions in everything we do at Morgado do Quintão, and at the same time we open ourselves to the world and others. We love welcoming people to our home and at the same time we mark the culmination of another harvest at Morgado», reinforces Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos.
