This Saturday, September 30th, at 18:30 pm, at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium

Fado and jazz meet this Saturday, September 30th, at 18:30 pm, at the Lagoa International Guitar Festival, where Luís Coelho will present “Contos de Cordas”.

With “Contos de Cordas” the Portuguese guitar fado travels to the border with jazz, in dialogue with the piano, the harp, the double bass and the fado guitar.

Luís Coelho on Portuguese guitar, André Gomes on piano, Salomé Pais Matos on harp, Carlos Barretto on double bass and Carlos Manuel Proença on fado guitar also present new songs and adaptations with a jazz influence, although the sound maintains the matrix of Portuguese identity .

The lineup, scheduled for around an hour of performance, includes the theme “Inconstância”, one of the most popular from the album “Contos de Cordas” and also new sounds with an Eastern flavor to be included in a new work by Luís Coelho.

The program is instrumental music and is based on the first original work released by composer and guitarist Luís Coelho in an edition of the Museu do Fado label.

Tickets cost 10 euros (20% discount – Cultural Passport / Social Card (CM Lagoa) / Rota do Petisco 2022) and can be purchased at BOL or at the event location.
