Farense will play Sporting and Tondela in the group stage of the Football League Cup, dictated by the draw held this Monday, September 11th.
In the first round, the Algarve will host Tondela.
The trip to Alvalade, to play Sporting, will be on the second round.
Interestingly, in last year's edition of the League Cup, the Algarve team had been in the same group as the Green and Whites, losing, at the time, 6-0, in Alvalade.
The third round – in which Farense will no longer play – will be between Tondela and Sporting.
The dates of the games are not yet known.
The winners of each of the groups (4) will be qualified for the final four that will be played from January 23rd to 27th of next year, at the Dr. Magalhães Pessoa Stadium, in Leiria.
