The Spanish group Raul Rodriguez 3 F Power Trio will give a concert at Espaço Guadiana, in Alcoutim, on October 14th, at 21 pm, a show that will be preceded by the launch of the promotional video for the border brand Alcoutim – Sanlúcar de Guadiana.
Musician and anthropologist, producer, composer, singer and guitarist and creator of the “Tres Flamenco”, an instrument designed and created by him, which results from the fusion of the flamenco guitar and the Cuban tres, which introduced into flamenco «a new sound with influences from heritages crusades that allow you to interact with musicians from other cultures».
With a degree in Geography and History and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Seville, his training is strongly related to his career and musical work, in which he establishes an alliance between research into singing of various origins and the deep connections between flamenco music and cultural relations between the Caribbean, Africa and Andalusia», describes the Chamber of Alcoutim.
Since 1992, he has worked as a support musician for renowned Spanish artists, such as Kiko Veneno, Martirio (his mother), Javier Ruibal and Juan Perro (Santiago Auserón), as well as big names in World Music International, and develops his own projects such as the groups Caraoscura (1992- 95) and Son de la Frontera (2003-2008).
Recently, in March 2023, he finished his creative trilogy of sounds from the Caribbean, Africa and Andalusia, with the publication of the album/book “La Razón Eléctrica”, «which completes the musical research work begun with “Razon de Son” by 2014 and continued with “Raiz Eléctrica” in 2017».
«In addition to all this, Raul Rodrigues has a strong connection to Guadiana, Sanlúcar de Guadiana and Alcoutim, given that in his childhood and part of his adolescence the musician lived in Sanlúcar de Guadiana, having many of his friends here, nurturing through territory a special affection that was felt this year at the launch of his “De Vuelta a Casa”, with images recorded in the two cross-border villages», adds the municipality.
Raul Rodriguez takes the stage in Alcoutim, with the group 3 Power Trio, accompanied by Juanfe Pérez, on bass and Jimmy Gonzalez, on drums.
The show will be preceded by the launch of the new promotional video for Marca de Fronteira Alcoutim – Sanlúcar de Guadiana, work carried out by Produtora Viralata (a company from Braga and Brazil) in the months of June and July, «and which is fictional, using animation , a short story from the book “Águas do Meu Contar”, by Carlos Brito, entitled “O Manton de Manila”, a story of smuggling in the Guadiana at Christmas time».
