Last phase of applications for masters and doctorates at UAlg takes place in August

New courses are part of the UAlg+Skills4all project

The last phase of applications for postgraduate, masters and doctoral courses at the University of Algarve (UAlg) runs from the 7th to the 28th of August. 

The big news for the next academic year (2023/2024) is that, in addition to international graduates from UAlg, all graduates of the European Higher Education Area, in the last three academic years, will now pay the same tuition fee as national students .

At the 2nd cycle level, the University of Algarve offers multidisciplinary training: it has around three dozen programs taught in English, being a pioneer and leader in Portugal of Erasmus Mundus programmes. Of the 60 master's degrees, 18 are taught in the language of Shakespeare, or have English as an option.

Offers in the field of doctorates are also diversified, currently offering 19 doctoral programs, of which four are taught in English and nine have English as an option. It should be noted that some of these doctoral courses have applications permanently open.

The institution also offers 23 postgraduate courses.

In addition to the new courses already announced for the next academic year in the area of ​​Arts, Communication and Heritage (Animation, Visual Narratives: Illustration, Comics and Character Design), the Escola Superior de Educação e Comunicação also offers a postgraduate course in Translation Specialized Multimedia – Variants in Tourism and Legal.

Within the theme of Health, the Escola Superior de Saúde (ESS) will teach a postgraduate course in Counseling in Dermopharmacy and a postgraduate course in Food and School Menus.

The Faculty of Social Human Sciences (FCHS) opens a new master's degree in Creation Processes and two new postgraduate courses in the area of ​​Social Sciences and Education, namely a postgraduate course in Psychology for Other Professionals and another in Methodologies and Tools of Intervention in STEAM Careers.

The new courses, like those previously created, are part of the UAlg+Skills4all project, granting some incentive grants to new students.

The PRR aims to contribute to increasing the number of graduates and lifelong training, promoting equal opportunities, contributing to employability and to a more sustainable world.

The University of Algarve (UAlg), within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), thus offers a new master's degree and seven postgraduate courses in the areas of Arts, Communication and Heritage; Health and Social Sciences and Education.
